Greenlux believes in continuous innovation; this is why our strategy and product development always point us towards this direction. Taking lighting applications to the next age requires focus not only on how lighting enables vision or how certain lighting products reduce running costs. Light can do much more than that, and LEDs help us achieve more possibilities.
The idea of electronic positioning developed greatly from the first ever GPS to now, where satellites help us navigate our world with ease and precision. But satellites cannot map interiors and they cannot point visitors to areas of interest or suggest them services or products they may want to consider. Light, on the other hand, can do just that. Greenlux is currently working with its partner eldoLED on providing Bytelight to its customers. Bytelight is a light-based indoor positioning systems using Visible Light Communication (VLC). The system uses LED lighting fixtures to communicate with front-facing cameras on smart phones and guide their users to their destinations with high precision. The technology is now available as an option for GLP panels for retail applications as well as the upcoming GLL product line.
On the topic of the ability of light to do more than just make us see, Greenlux is also venturing into the fast growing field of Human Centric Lighting (HCL). Realizing the potential benefits lighting could have on people's health and well-being, we have partnered with Helvar to bring our customers a new tunable-white panel solution fit for this type of applications. This solution is also currently available for orders.
